The major sponsor of SkyBark is PETaPOTTY, offering the guest dogs ample potty space at the events. PETaPOTTY did not want to create events that merely allowed people to enjoy the night with their dogs, rather they wanted to make the events have a significant purpose. So at each of the SkyBark events a silent auction is held to benefit an animal rescue. The rescue of the night receives a 100% of the proceeds of the auction in addition to other proceeds. The goal is to have each night benefit a different rescue, so that the wealth is shared amongst all those in need.
Currently, SkyBark has a fixed location in Los Angeles, with operations headed by Brandon Hochman and Ralph Diaz. Mr. Hochman is the inventor of the PETaPOTTY and has been developing and marketing the product since its inception into the market in 2002. Mr. Hochman is the creative inspiration of SkyBark and brings to the table a wealth of knowledge from the pet industry, the extreme sports industry, and the entertainment industry. Mr. Diaz is the metal work innovator. His creations currently showcased at the Los Angeles venue include the custom SkyBark benches and signage. Mr. Diaz brings much knowledge of the pet industry and contemportary metal designs.
Although Los Angeles is the birthplace of SkyBark, it is not the only location for it. SkyBark is spreading nationwide. In September 2006, look for SkyBark Las Vegas and in August 2006 SkyBark will start up its East Coast division with a bang in Boston, Massachusetts. SkyBark Boston will be headed up by PETaPOTTY executive, Debra Shoji. Ms. Shoji, a co-owner of PETaPOTTY, relocated to Boston in 2005 to attend Suffolk University Law School and will graduate in 2008. She could not stay away from her passion of helping the dogs and is ecstatic to be a part of SkyBark Boston. SkyBark is making its mark across the nation. Look for a SkyBark event near you! |
